Thought I would change the theme of the site to a more adventure look for the upcoming expansion pack for The Sims 3 "World Adventures". I will be adding new features to the site as I get to them.

I uploaded Myra and Melvin Mustgo late last night. I hope that they are liked!
I plan to upload a few others later on today as well.
Any feedback or even a request is always welcome!

Hi! I'm Shannon and I'm really looking forward to sharing some of my custom Sims here! Watch for uploads later today and coming in the future.
I really like making Sims with character rather than the "Barbie Doll" Sims. Subtle and extreme looks are what I enjoy the most and then watching how those traits come out in future generations.

Almost everyone knows about the new expansion World Adventures that will be released in November of 2009. I cannot seem to get myself excited about the new expansion because I really think that EA should have first focused on the town we have right now.
Many of you know that after dark in The Sims 3 there is just nothing to do at all. We have no nightlife whatsoever in Sims 3. For this reason I have gotten bored with the game and I have probably only played a total of 20+ hours in the past two months.
I think they should have added more to the towns we have right now then worry about us going on adventures. This could have come at a later time. Now I know it is a little to early for me to judge the new expansion because you never know it may also add new things to the town we currently have, but I just feel that The Sims franchise may be taken a turn towards Spore gameplay.
I really hope this does not happen because I cannot stand Spore and it was the most shallow game I have ever played. Even with the expansion I could not get myself to continue playing. Now we have Spore Galatic Adventures and now we are getting World Adventures for our Sims.
I just hope EA does not mess up the series like they tend to do with other games. Simcity is just one example of many they have trashed. We will be watching the development of World Adventures and plan to add a new page to the site. The forum is already up for you to post your thoughts and questions. So what are you're thought about World Adventures?

I really cannot wait for custom objects like furniture, new art and so on. I plan on trying to make my own furniture and hope that I learn fast because it seems to be something I would enjoy doing.
Anyone else plan on trying to make some custom items for The Sims 3 ? I enjoy making lots but right now I am stuck on what to do next. I thought I would try a modern home this time around.

The Sims 2 was extremely well done, and with The Sims 3 not having that big of a leap from the prior it just... feels like something is missing.
I guess one way to put it is, since TS2 was already so good, TS3 leaves me with a feeling of "I've already played this game". There's not enough different for it to feel like a new game. (Similar instance with going from Sim City 3000 to Sim City 4.) I've done all the interactions already in TS2, I played that game to death. So I don't feel like I'm playing a new game with TS3 and just feel bored with game play. I still enjoy creating Sims, however. But I mean... my sims go to school/work, come home, do their daily needs, read or do some gardening, and then the day's over. Rinse and repeat.
I think, maybe, the awkward way of controlling more than one Sim family may be taking some enjoyment away for me, so I made some new 'evil' Sims last night. I'm going to give playing multiple families a shot and see how that goes. AwesomeMod should stop the family disappearances and strange things from occuring, so I feel comfortable in doing so now, at least.

I have been banned from the official Sims site for the last two days, only one more day to go and I can get back on the forums. I still have been lurking and someone pinched my bachelorette idea, well, it wasn't really original, but still I had the first one on the forums only a week ago. Oh well, my bachelorette was hotter!
I'm looking forward to the forums getting bigger on this site and have decided to help promote it by putting Simaroo in my avatar on the official site.
Anyway I might go and play some brain trainer on the DSi, I'm a little simmed out.

I have completed my second lot for The Sims 3 and wondering how everyone else comes up with their designs. Usually I just build as I go but here lately I have been using floor plans to create homes.
I try not to make mansions but they always seem to turn out this way when I am completed. So does anyone use any house plans or do you just take a look around you for the idea.
Here is my latest home

Well I got some good game time in last night and decided to age up all my kids to Young Adults and go play one of them. I really never played multiple households with The Sims 2 so I figured I would give it a try.
I moved my oldest Son out and got him a nice pad. Played him for awhile and decided I was going to move the other two boys out but could not due to lack of funds. They had no money but the household had over $70,000.
I like going back and forth between houses and I do not turn story progression or aging off. I just let what happens happen. The oldest has a girlfriend and already had Woohoo all on the first day. Seems to be more fun switching back between houses rather than just playing one household.
